With enthusiasm and excitement, the children in Early Years have delved into the new academic year. They have explored 7 areas of learning though topics such as Nursery Rhymes and fairy tales. The children have been fully engaged in the learning process resulting in their learning being relevant and purposeful; our philosophy is centred around the notion that children learn best by doing. Through purposeful play both indoors and outdoors, it steers the way for our children to learn in the best ways possible. Through well planned play-based activities, thinking is challenged and helps them to practice and rehearse skills and to be motivated in their learning. The children in Early Years have also enjoyed taking part in specialist teaching and are refining skills taught in particular subjects.
